Marseille eye Gent Hyllarion Goore as they seek fresh attack

Olympique de Marseille have opened enquiries for 20‑year‑old Gent forward Hyllarion Goore as they look to replenish a looming attacking void, with potential exits of Amine Gouiri and Igor Paixao and no summer signing registered yet, the club, according to L’Équipe.

Olympique de Marseille have yet to register a summer signing and are prioritising player sales to improve their financial position. Sporting director Grégory Lorenzi is already working on potential reinforcements ahead of the new season.

The club’s interest in Hyllarion Goore stems from a need for fresh attacking options as they anticipate possible departures of Amine Gouiri and Igor Paixao. At 20, the Ivory Coast striker offers youthful dynamism that fits Marseille’s tactical shift.

Goore has made 43 appearances for Gent this season, scoring five goals and providing four assists, but started only 19 matches. L’Équipe reported that KAA Gent secured his services on a contract extension in April, binding him until 2029.

The long‑term deal underlines Gent’s intention to retain the forward unless a compelling offer emerges. Marseille’s enquiry remains exploratory, with no formal offer on the table at this stage.

If a transfer materialises, Marseille could add depth to their attack while Gent would either keep a contracted talent or negotiate a fee that respects the recent extension. The situation therefore presents a pivotal decision point for both clubs.
