Mancini pushes Italy after draw in Saint‑Denis

At the Renato Dell’Ara stadium, under the floodlights, Roberto Mancini was directing his players while the fans watched the final minute of the match against Turkey. The new Italy, which had secured a prestigious 1‑1 draw against France in Saint‑Denis, was looking to consolidate after the 1‑4 victory in Bursa.

Orders and line‑ups

Mancini gave clear orders during the match, substituting Pio Esposito for Scamacca up front. The Italian line‑up included Donnarumma; Kayode, Scalvini, Bastoni and Calafiori; Barella, Tonali and Frattesi; Vergara, Scamacca and Sebastiano Esposito.

On the Turkish side, Vincente Montella presented a squad with Çakir; Kabak, Demiral and Çelik; Kadioglu, Özcan, Yüksek and Elmali; Akgün, Aktürkogly and Deniz Gul, under the supervision of Polish referee Szymon Marciniak.

The Turkish absences worsened: Hakan Calhanoglu and Kenan Yildiz were injured, and today sanctions were added to Arda Güler and Baris Alper Yilmaz.

Mancini confirmed that Moise Kean “has not recovered” and emphasized that “Turkey is a strong team”, warning that the opponent should not be underestimated.

The Italian coach also recalled the emphatic 1‑4 from last week in Bursa, noting that the qualification is still at stake and that the Nations League demands consistency.

With the recent win and draw, Mancini’s Italy shows intent to keep progressing in the Nations League, while Montella’s Turkey fights to climb out of the bottom spot in Group A1.
