Manchester United eyes Guirassy as an alternative to Zirkzee up front

In the centre of Old Trafford, eyes turn to Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy, while Joshua Zirkzee's future looks uncertain. Manchester United have shown interest in the Borussia Dortmund player, who scored 64 goals in 102 matches.

Attack option for the next window

Guirassy, 30, joined the German club in the 2024/25 season for €18 million and would be a partner of Benjamin Šeško in the reds' attack. The board still intends to finish Zirkzee's dossier before scouting the Guinean forward.

According to Michael Carrick, Zirkzee is not part of the plans and has a departure plan in January, making it highly likely that he will leave the club in the next transfer window.

With Guirassy as an alternative, United keep the bet on Šeško while looking to strengthen the striker position should Zirkzee leave.

Manchester United sit in 12th place in the Premier League, with five points from five games, and face Tottenham, bottom of the table, in the next round.
