Manchester United chase BVB star Serhou Guirassy despite past refusal

Serhou Guirassy continues to provide a goal guarantee for Dortmund and has again sparked the interest of Premier League giant Manchester United, which was already after him years ago. The 30‑year‑old striker has so far scored 64 goals in 102 competitive matches for Borussia Dortmund.

Revival of the Transfer Theme

According to TEAMtalk, the Red Devils are still keeping an eye on the Dortmund star. A possible transfer could become a topic already in January, with Manchester United, alongside Tottenham Hotspur, FC Chelsea and FC Arsenal, also having shown interest.

In 2023, Manchester United considered signing him, but chose Rasmus Højlund instead, because Guirassy was already firmly set for a move to VfB Stuttgart. This earlier withdrawal explains the renewed resurgence of interest.

Since his move to Borussia Dortmund in 2024, Guirassy has developed like a comet and is among the most clinical strikers in the Bundesliga. His current form makes him a guarantee for Dortmund's current wave of success.

Whether United will make an offer also depends on the decisions regarding Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee. While Sesko is apparently set to stay, Zirkzee's future remains open.

A departure of the Dortmund star in the middle of the season, however, appears unlikely, as the black‑yellow side do not want to lose a key player during their ongoing successful run.
