Manchester City target Elijah Upson as future defender
Manchester City are among the clubs hoping to land this gifted defender one for the future, the 18‑year‑old English centre‑back Elijah Upson, who is currently a free agent after 34 Under‑18 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur and a handful of assists.
It has been claimed that the Mancunian giants face competition from Chelsea, Everton, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Monaco as they pursue the English centre‑back later this year.
Upson came through the youth ranks of Tottenham Hotspur but failed to make a senior appearance, establishing himself as an important member of their Under‑18 side with 34 games and a couple of assists across multiple competitions.
The 18‑year‑old is currently a free agent, a status that could open the door for Manchester City to sign him and bring him to the Etihad Stadium in the summer transfer window.
The reported the interest, noting that Manchester City are among the clubs hoping to secure the gifted defender for the future.

Upson is praised for his tackling, timing of challenges and tidy passing, though he remains raw and will need time to prove his worth at the highest level.
All in all, Manchester City should focus on doing everything possible to bring the prospect to the Etihad Stadium before the transfer window closes.
