Luton Town must offload Nordas as €2m clause looms

Loan move to Cracovia

Polish journalist Piotr Kozminski the loan deal is close to completion. Nordas will join Cracovia on a temporary basis, with the Polish club holding an option to make the transfer permanent for a fee in the region of €2 million. The arrangement offers the striker regular playing time while giving Luton a clear exit route.

Nordas arrived in England in 2025, signing from Tromsø for roughly £2.5 million during Luton’s unsuccessful Championship relegation battle. He logged just 409 minutes for the Hatters before a loan spell at Heerenveen, where he scored six goals and provided two assists in the Eredivisie.

Before Cracovia emerged as the frontrunner, interest was reported from Raków Częstochowa, Hammarby, Malmö and AGF. Their early enquiries highlight the player’s appeal despite his limited impact in League One.

Implications for Luton

The loan, coupled with the €2 million purchase option, suggests Luton will likely incur a financial loss on the eventual permanent deal. However, moving Nordas on now removes a player with no clear pathway back into the lineup and clears a valuable squad slot for the upcoming season.
