Luca Koleosho shines at Paris FC: the youngster monitored by Mancini

Luca Koleosho, born in 2004, was bought back by Paris FC last summer and has already debuted with the senior national team, under the interim management of Mancini Durante, between Gattuso and the new Mancini 2, a sign of confidence for the future of Italian football.

Progress at Paris FC

In his second consecutive year at Paris FC, in France, Koleosho found continuity: he started all of the first eight Ligue 1 matches. Coach Rosenior lines him up wide on the left in the trio behind the lone striker of the 4‑2‑3‑1.

His first goal came against Lens, about a month and a half after the assist he provided against Marseille. It was the only match in which he played deeper, in the midfield line of the 3‑4‑3.

In the previous season, KOLEOSHO recorded three goals and one assist in eighteen appearances for Paris FC. Those numbers convinced the club to buy him back from Burnley for fourteen million euros, despite interest from Monza, Genoa and Fiorentina.

Silvio Baldini, during his interim spell, gave many Under‑21 youngsters the chance to debut with the senior national team. Among them, Luka Koleosho played the whole match against Luxembourg and was substituted only in the final minutes against Greece.

The current Azzurri coach, Mancini, and his staff constantly monitor Koleosho's progress, even though the youngster continues to play in France. His experience abroad is seen as an added value for the Italy national team.

Having never played in Italy, his path remains an example of openness towards Serie A, keeping the attention of Italian clubs alive.
