Ligue 1 blow for Lyon as Mouhamed Ouedraogo faces months out
Mohamed Ouedraogo will miss several months after suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, L’Equipe reported on Thursday. The Burkinabé forward’s injury is described as a major setback for Olympique Lyonnais.
The damage occurred during a training session while the player was on international break with the Burkina Faso national team. He did not feature for the Étalons during the recent pause.
Ouedraogo, a former SCR Altach player, joined the Gones at the start of the season. Since arriving, he has made five appearances, two of them as a starter.
The club indicated that the length of his lay‑off is not specified, but he is expected to miss a substantial portion of the remaining campaign.
