Lens look for a comeback against Como: Aguilar praises Fabregas

In the tension‑filled silence of the Bollaert‑Delelis, Lens is preparing to restart after the defeat suffered in the derby against Lille, aware that the next commitment against Como in the Champions League represents an important chance to redeem themselves again.
The Champions League allows no room for reflection or remorse: Como will knock on the doors of the Bollaert‑Delelis for the fourth round of the League Phase. Meanwhile the Sang et Or aim to regain the points lost since the initial victory against Slavia Prague on September 10.
On the eve of the match, besides coach Yannick Cahuzac, full‑back Ruben Aguilar also spoke at the press conference. Aguilar commented on the opponents by recalling Cesc Fabregas, highlighting the bond formed in Monaco between 2019 and 2022 and describing Como as a team that plays football very well.
He added that, as a player, Fabregas was “class personified”, disciplined and endowed with brilliant ideas. Throughout the season he has been practically an ever‑present starter, missing only one game against Auxerre out of twelve seasonal commitments played in all competitions as a centre‑back. He thanked the coach for the trust, said he feels comfortable in a back three, aims to provide continuity and to give his all to get back on track in the fantastic competition tomorrow evening.
