LASK lives a fairy‑tale story; Yaya Touré endures a European nightmare

A comfortable 4-0 victory over Slovan Bratislava gave LASK its second win in the top European competition in just three games. The Austrian side, which had gone 61 years without winning a national title, broke its drought last season and did so in spectacular fashion. After qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in its history, the club is living a true fairy tale.
Football is so beautiful because of stories like LASK's. On the other side of the coin is Yaya Touré's Slovan Bratislava, which is not raising its head. Bottom‑placed and completely outclassed by the stage, the Slovak side presented a very worrying image.
