Klopp sees hope in a short spell despite defeat in Augsburg

In the packed WWK Arena in Augsburg, head coach Jürgen Klopp experienced his first home match on Sunday evening with the German national team, which ended in a 0‑1 defeat to Greece; nevertheless he emphasized that the brief period in the second half was a positive turning point.

After the match, Klopp spoke on ARD and took full responsibility: “It is part of the process. The lineup, the many substitutions, that is all 100 percent on me.” He repeated the motto: “You may lose, but you must not.”

Compared with the 1‑1 draw against the Netherlands on Thursday, he made five changes to his starting eleven.
