KBVB challenges FIFA over Balogun eligibility amid procedural clash

The Belgian Football Association (KBVB) has released a second communiqué after FIFA annulled the suspension of striker Folarin Balogun, but the federation says it has yet to receive any official response from FIFA. According to FIFA’s own rules, an appeal can be considered admissible only after the appellant has received a reasoned decision. The KBVB argues that FIFA turned its legitimate information request into an appeal and then immediately deemed it inadmissible, refusing to supply the requested details.
