Kane's wife targeted after Ballon d'Or speech

On Monday evening, Harry Kane won the Ballon d’or and, in his speech, paid tribute to his wife Katie Goodland.
Since that tribute, Katie Goodland has been the subject of comments about her physique on social media.
The following Thursday, the partner of Belgian defender Thomas Meunier, Deborah Panzokou, posted a strong outburst on Instagram against those remarks.
Thomas Meunier wrote on Instagram: “My wife Kate, my best friend, you are my greatest support.”
In his speech, Harry Kane added: “We did it. You always want the best for me. You sacrifice yourself to help me achieve my dreams. None of this would have been possible without you.”
Katie Goodland is the mother of their four children.
Social media has seen many comments criticizing Katie’s physique, some suggesting that Kane should be with a woman who meets the criteria of British WAGs.
Deborah Panzokou wrote on Instagram: “I have no words, a guy has a type of women we say ‘michti she’s with him for his money’, another one we say ‘he could have better’… Minimum education.”
This is not the first time Katie Goodland has been targeted; a few years ago, Harry Kane defended her, describing her as “funny, kind and beautiful” and denouncing the haters.
