Kane complains, Bayern says he must serve Olise’s red card
Harry Kane expressed after the Champions League duel between Viking FK and Bayern Munich (3-3) his displeasure about teammate Michael Olise, who received a red card shortly before time. The English striker said that Olise “must take responsibility” and that Bayern will miss him.
Match progression and red card
Viking FK led 2-0 in the first half, but Bayern turned the match around in the second half to a 2-3 lead. Olise received two yellow cards in the 74th minute and was then sent off. From the sidelines he saw how the home side scraped a point from the fire.
Kane’s assessment
Kane, who scored two goals after the break, found the first half “weak” and said there was “no excuse” for the mistakes. He emphasized that the second half was much better, but that Olise’s red card damaged the team.

Coach Vincent Kompany saw his team, after Olise’s red card, still concede a late equaliser, causing the duel to end in a draw. Der Rekordmeister had to settle for one point on Tuesday evening.
For the camera on Amazon Prime, Kane gave the conclusion clearly: “We made too many mistakes and were punished for it. We will miss him.”
