Juventus secure midfield boost as Sarr joins on loan

OFFICIEL – In Turin, Juventus have completed the loan signing of Senegalese midfielder Pape Matar Sarr from Tottenham Hotspur, securing him until the end of the season. The deal includes an option to purchase for €28 million that could become mandatory if specific conditions are met.
"En quête d’un renfort au milieu de terrain," Juventus said. The Italian giants have therefore turned their attention to the Senegalese midfielder.
Season‑long loan
"La Juventus de Turin a finalement jeté son dévolu sur Pape Matar Sarr," the club announced. Sarr joins on a loan from Tottenham Hotspur that runs until the end of the current campaign.
"Cet accord inclut une option d’achat estimée à 28 millions d’euros," the statement added. The clause could become mandatory if predetermined performance conditions are satisfied.
Sarr, a Senegal international, provides additional depth in central midfield for Juventus.
Tottenham retain his registration, meaning he will return should the purchase clause not be activated.
The move gives Juventus an immediate solution to their midfield needs while offering a potential long‑term signing if the option is exercised.
