Juve, note the left winger who has driven the Old Lady crazy
The young Mahamadou Nagida, 21, left Juventus speechless in the Rennes‑Juventus match that ended 2‑2, played last night at the Stadium. The left winger covering the entire flank delivered a performance that literally drove the Old Lady crazy.
A player of that type should attract, or at least interest, practically the whole Serie A, including Juventus itself. According to those who know the renowned workshop that will sell him, the price is in the double‑digit millions.
Profile and career
Mahamadou Nagida was born in June 2005 in Douala, Cameroon, and began his training in the youth sector of Brasseries. Three years ago he arrived in France, in Rennes' B team, and was promoted to the first squad after a year, where he is a regular starter.
Quick and equipped with good technique, Nagida uses his left foot to draw both tight and soft trajectories, but he is also skilled with his right, as his action in the 1‑1 draw between Rennes and Juventus shows.
TMW's ratings gave the young winger a score of 7.5, commenting: “More than Nagida, his surname should be Cagiva. He literally runs the left flank as and when he wants, effectively becoming an additional attacker. He initiates the equalising action, creates the penalty and attempts the shot on goal several times.”
With such a combination of speed, technique and versatility, the demand for a left winger like Nagida remains high, and clubs across Serie A are already considering the possibility of investing in him.
