Julio Cruz unconditionally backs Inter against Feyenoord

In the dusky evening sky of De Kuip, where the stands are close to the pitch, Julio Cruz watches with particular interest the upcoming Champions League duel between Feyenoord and Internazionale.
Cruz's memories and expectations
The Argentine former striker played for both clubs and cherishes warm memories of his time in Rotterdam.
In an interview he looks ahead to the match.
"Feyenoord have just beaten Como and are at home in excellent form, but Inter must win in Rotterdam. They need the points," says Cruz, who does not want to exaggerate Inter's defeat in the city derby against AC Milan (3-1).
Cruz knows from personal experience how difficult a visit to De Kuip can be. "It is a very special stadium, with stands that are close to the pitch and extremely passionate supporters. It feels like Argentina," says the Argentine.
Feyenoord misses every chance at De Kuip vs Inter in the Champions League
He speaks warmly of Giovanni van Bronckhorst, with whom he played in Rotterdam. "At Feyenoord we won together the league title and the Johan Cruijff Schaal. He is a smart guy, with an enormous fire inside," says Cruz.
Preference for Inter
According to Cruz, Van Bronckhorst and Inter coach Cristian Chivu show clear similarities: "They are both very driven and have a great work ethic. They have overcome criticism by delivering results. They demand a lot, first of all from themselves," says the former striker.
Despite his warm feelings for Feyenoord, Cruz is clear about his preference for Tuesday night. "Inter, there is no doubt about that," he replies resolutely.
Cruz played for Feyenoord between 1997 and 2000 and won the league title and the Johan Cruijff Schaal with the Rotterdam side.
