Malen scores, but United loses; PSG puts on spectacular show

On Tuesday in the Champions League Donyell Malen scored a penalty in the 18th minute, but Manchester United eventually lost 3‑2 to AS Roma; at the same time Paris Saint-Germain delivered a six‑goal victory that dominated the evening. The match ended with two penalties for the Italians and a red card for Matheus Cunha.

Feyenoord versus Internazionale and other highlights

For some Dutch fans, Tuesday in the Champions League was mainly about the clash between Feyenoord and Internazionale. However, much more happened on the European pitches.

In Istanbul, Cim Bom Bom secured an important win thanks to an early double strike from Aleksey Batrakov. Batrakov scored in the 12th minute and again in the 15th minute to decide the match 2‑0.

Luis Suárez did not appear as a scorer for Sporting, which was refreshing. Instead, Issa Doumbia opened the scoring in the 59th minute.

Lennart Karl took the lead ten minutes after the break with a goal in the 54th minute. Konrad Laimer then provided the second strike in the 74th minute.

Lamine Yamal opened the scoring for FC Barcelona in the 7th minute of the match at Spotify Camp Nou. Raphinha doubled the lead in the 53rd minute and added another goal in the 65th minute. Frenkie de Jong reached his 300th appearance for FC Barcelona.

At De Kuip, Internazionale dominated the first half and went into the break already 0‑3 with goals from Bisseck (8'), Esposito (34') and Zielinski (54'). After the break the situation became even more painful for Feyenoord, which ultimately could not score any more goals.

In Austria, the home side set the tone early with Kasper Jørgensen who made the first goal in the 19th minute. Jørgensen doubled the lead in the 37th minute, after which Ljubicic (44') and Adeniran (48') raised the score to 4‑0.

United versus Roma and PSG spectacle

Matias Soulé opened the match for AS Roma with a goal in the 11th minute. Donyell Malen of Manchester United made it 0‑2 with a penalty in the 18th minute. Bruno Fernandes reduced the deficit with a penalty in the 58th minute, bringing the score to 1‑2.

Matheus Cunha equalised in the 83rd minute and then scored the winning goal in the 86th minute. Shortly afterwards he received a red card, while the Romans lost their lead completely in the second half, similar to their performance against Real Madrid.

Paris Saint-Germain delivered another football show at the Estadio de la Cerámica, where El Submarino Amarillo watched. João Neves opened the scoring in the 9th minute, followed by Doué (12'), Mayulu (13'), Fabián Ruiz (17' and 50') and Boly (78'), giving PSG a six‑goal win.
