Italy ready for Turkey: Tonali urges response after Belgium knockout

Italy is preparing for the showdown against Turkey after the remedied loss to Belgium in the Nations League. The blue midfielder Sandro Tonari told Sky Sport, on the eve of the next match, that the squad is "very healthy" and that "the qualities will emerge with time".

Tonari acknowledged that "many people I think were left disappointed" and urged to speak honestly about what the loss caused, from the fans' whistles to the sad faces in the dressing room. He added that the match was not positive and that "we deserved to lose".

The midfielder then emphasized the need to accept the defeat and to react quickly: "Now the important thing is to react and we can do it already after a few days". He highlighted the presence of many youngsters in the squad, stating that "it's difficult to have everything immediately, we don't have the star, the time is there".
