Investigation required against Eric Olhats, former mentor of Griezmann
While Eric Olhats has been serving a six‑year sentence since 2025 for sexual assaults on eight under‑age players, MP Colette Capdevielle is calling for a new investigation, citing the revelations of Thomas Rabino and Fabien Touati in the book « In the Wolf’s Mouth », which concern the mentor of Antoine Griezmann.
In a letter addressed to the prosecutor of Bayonne, the Socialist Party parliamentarian relies on article 40 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, reminding that any authority informed of a crime must notify the prosecutor without delay, according to the report of Le Parisien.
Capdevielle notes that she already knew Eric Olhats, who coached her son at Aviron Bayonnais, and that she caught him naked in the showers, « hitting the children, psychologically assaulting them », as Fabien Touati recounts.
Book Revelations
The book « In the Wolf’s Mouth », published by Thomas Rabino and Fabien Touati, describes suspicions of chemical submission when Eric Olhats was housing children and adolescents in his Basque Country apartment, thus suggesting a possible new criminal charge.
Elements of the New Investigation
The authors state that 443 tablets of Temesta, an anxiolytic linked to sexual violence, were found in Olhats’ possession, an amount identical to that discovered in Dominique Pélicot, but which was not addressed during the trial.
An investigator involved in the case is also said to have been a coach at Aviron Bayonnais for more than ten years, which strengthens the links between the local club and the allegations.
This contrast between the already handed down sentence and the new accusations shows that the justice system could be called upon again to examine facts that, according to the MP, have been neglected until now.
