PSG rolls out free menstrual dispensers at Parque de los Príncipes

Paris Saint-Germain has installed free menstrual product dispensers in its Parque de los Príncipes, with the explicit aim of guaranteeing that women can attend matches and enjoy the stadium experience without any inconvenience. The devices are placed in the restrooms and various shared areas throughout the venue.

Inclusion and social responsibility

The initiative forms part of the club's inclusion and Social responsibility policies, which seek to adapt facilities to the needs of its supporters. By locating the dispensers in both bathrooms and communal zones, PSG aims to remove a practical barrier for female fans. The free dispensers are accessible to any female supporter entering the venue.

Stephanie de Buck, director of Social Corporate Responsibility, explained: “Each year more women are in the stadium. The idea, based on conversations with supporters, is to support this trend by ensuring everyone feels fully welcome.” De Buck noted that the concept emerged from direct dialogue with season‑ticket holders.

Local media report that each dispenser carries a sign reading “No unexpected issue should ruin the match”, reinforcing the goal of comfort for spectators. The slogan aims to pre‑empt any discomfort that could otherwise detract from the matchday experience.

Wider French trend and fan response

Paris Saint-Germain is not alone; clubs such as Paris FC, Auxerre and Troyes have introduced comparable measures in their own grounds. These measures reflect a growing awareness among French clubs of the importance of gender‑inclusive facilities.

The initial response has been overwhelmingly positive, with many supporters describing the scheme as simple yet highly useful for situations many women have previously encountered. Many supporters have expressed gratitude, describing the scheme as a much‑needed improvement.

While the club continues its push to reclaim Ligue 1 leadership, the free dispensers underscore PSG’s commitment to inclusive, holistic fan welfare as part of its broader competitive strategy.
