Inter dominates in Rotterdam, Chivu praises the stronger version

At De Kuip in Rotterdam, Inter opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a great goal from Bisseck, who received the ball on the right side of the box and finished with a precise left‑footed shot into the corner.

Coach Cristian Chivu, leading Feyenoord, has been following the match from the start.

Pio Esposito doubled Inter’s lead already in the first half, confirming Inter’s advantage.

Spence was particularly inspired, while Dimarco, on the opposite flank, finally showed energy.

Chivu’s new setup

Chivu has decided to give the right flank back to Spence, with Dimarco starting on the left.

In attack, Pio Esposito has returned alongside Thuram, with Calhanoglu in midfield supported by Barella and Zielinski.

Dimarco tried to shake off his period of inactivity, but his left‑footed shot was deflected and saved by Ernst.

Thuram was very active, blocking two opponent shots.

After the first twenty minutes, Inter eased the pressure, allowing Feyenoord to push with Mousa and Valente.

In response, Josep Martinez came out promptly to close down Mousa’s play.

Spence attempted a deflected shot, which Esposito headed, causing the ball to rebound off the crossbar before crossing the line.

Zielinski was twice close to a third goal from outside the area.

In the second half, Inter restarted with another run from Spence and a dangerous right‑footed shot on the near post.

In the fifty‑fourth minute, Zielinski received the ball twenty metres out and unleashed a lethal left foot, making the score 3‑0.

Pio Esposito scored another goal from Dimarco’s assist, but it was ruled out for offside.

After the third goal Inter continued to press, frustrating the opponent up to the third quarter, but only weak shots came from Martinez.

Coach Cristian Chivu acknowledged that he has found his Inter again.

"We have values, we have understood certain things and brought them onto the pitch, but that doesn't mean we hadn't done well so far. Today we were our best version, on a not easy field."
