Heavy blow for Dortmund as Bayern push for win at the stadium

In the flickering light of the stadium, the Munich side are preparing for the upcoming Saturday‑night duel, while the classic between FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund, BVB and Bayern equally at the top of the table, is already regarded as the most electrifying match in the Bundesliga and promises a showdown that will keep the fans on the edge of their seats.
Both teams are level on points at the top of the table, but the significantly better goal difference gives the Munich side the edge. The two teams are level on points, but Bayern lead thanks to the goal ratio.
A evenly matched duel on Saturday night seems unlikely, as there are hardly any arguments for a draw. Therefore, five reasons are presented that predict a clear victory for Bayern.
Christina Pahnke points out that the Munich side have shown weaker performances this season, but these occurred exclusively in away games. In their own stadium, however, the Reds regularly let their muscles play.
Apart from the 2‑2 draw against FC Arsenal, which Bayern had to play with a weakened squad, there have been only victories, and all of them were more than convincing.
Bayern's dominant home wins
Against Stuttgart (5‑1), Bodø/Glimt (5‑0), Union Berlin (7‑0), Leipzig (6‑1) and Magdeburg (6‑1), Bayern always recorded at least a four‑goal margin and five goals of their own.
If the BVB were to lose only 1‑4, that would be the best result of all domestic Bayern opponents in the Allianz Arena.
From the last ten Bundesliga home games against the BVB there have been eight wins, one draw and one loss.
Bayern are usually especially sovereign when the BVB is close in the table.
Since the Borussians are currently level with Bayern, the Munich side are absolutely alert and will unleash their top performance.
Big matches simply suit the Reds better.
Although not all Bayern professionals will be available against Dortmund, the personnel situation is also not as strained as it was recently.
Joshua Kimmich is expected to return after the family bereavement.
The signs also point to a comeback for Manuel Neuer.
Aleksandar Pavlovic has already been able to feature again in the cup.
Kim Min‑jae appears to have overcome his strain.
There have been better news recently regarding Vincent Kompany; the Belgian still needs to take it easy, but he is on a good path.
In the players' minds, this is probably no longer a major factor.
