Harry Kane's late strike makes Kompany cheer against Arsenal

On 21 October 2026 Bayern Munich faced Arsenal in the Champions League in Munich, where an early lead by Bukayo Saka, assisted by Eberechi Eze, was answered by an equaliser via Alphonso Davies and ultimately a winning penalty from Harry Kane, while the health of Vincent Kompany remained unclear.

First goal and equaliser

Bukayo Saka received a Yellow card already in the 13th minute, after which Eberechi Eze opened the scoring with a goal in the 25th minute (0‑1). Five minutes later Alphonso Davies provided the equaliser for Bayern with a strike in the 35th minute (1‑1). Ezri Konsa also received a Yellow card in the 39th minute. The Yellow cards were issued to Saka, Havertz and Konsa.

In the 61st minute Harry Kane received the penalty spot and converted it into a goal, putting Bayern ahead 2‑1. The match ended with that score, after which Bayern fans cheered while the presence of an ill Kompany on the sidelines remained uncertain.

Key player Joshua Kimmich missed the match due to a bereavement, and several substitutions followed: Ismael Saibari for Luis Díaz, Serge Gnabry for Lennart Karl and Kai Havertz for Viktor Gyökeres, all around the 68‑69 minute mark.

The Programme displayed a comprehensive overview of Football, Tennis, Formula 1, basketball and cyclo‑cross, with a LIVE‑stream of the Champions League match. Additionally, the Jupiler Pro League, Challenger Pro League, Europa League and Conference League were mentioned as More football news.
