Boel’s tenure at Deventer-based club Go Ahead Eagles concludes with immediate effect. Club director Paul Bosvelt confirmed the separation after internal discussions.

The evaluation process assessed club performance and coaching alignment. Both sides opted for a clean break rather than continuing under revised terms.

Go Ahead Eagles now face a managerial vacancy. Bosvelt stated the club will prioritize a structured search for Boel’s successor.

Boel, 42, leaves with no further details disclosed on future plans. His final match in charge was a 2-1 win over FC Emmen on April 14.

The club sits 15th in the Eredivisie with six games remaining in the 2023-24 season.
