🇫🇷 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

France has secured a long‑term project by appointing Zinedine Zidane as national team manager, ensuring stability for the next decade of major tournaments. By signing Zidane until the 2030 World Cup, the French Football Federation guarantees continuity across upcoming competitions.

Zinedine Zidane was officially appointed manager of the France national team on Tuesday morning, signing a contract that runs until the 2030 World Cup. The former France number 10 will assume his duties on August 1.

Zidane said, “I’ve had offers from clubs over the last four or five years, and I turned them down because I only wanted to go to France.” He highlighted that his loyalty to the national side outweighed any club interest.

He added, “There is nothing greater than the France national team. It is a joy and great pride for me to become the manager of this France team.” The statement underscores his enthusiasm for the role.

Zidane thanked President Philippe Diallo, the Executive Committee and the French Football Federation for their trust. His thanks emphasized the collaborative spirit behind his appointment.

Reflecting on his playing career, Zidane said, “On the pitch I was a leader, and now I believe I can be one as manager.” He also sent a special thought to all his coaches, emphasizing his ambition for the France national team.

With the contract in place, Zidane will officially take charge on August 1, beginning a tenure that the federation expects to span the next decade of World Cups and European Championships.
