Fix: Barcelona spend millions on young striker Jesse Bisiwu

Fix FC Barcelona have signed 18‑year‑old Belgian striker Jesse Bisiwu from Club Brugge on a contract that runs until 2031, with a reported fee of around €8.5 million. The Catalans announced the move on Friday evening, confirming that the transfer had been in the works for some time.

According to reports, the €8.5 million payment will go to Club Brugge, and the former employer of Nicolo Tresoldi secured a 20 percent sell‑on clause as part of the deal. The La‑Liga club concluded lengthy negotiations before finalising the agreement.

Bisiwu has only featured for Club Brugge’s second team so far and has also represented Belgian youth national sides. His experience is therefore limited to reserve‑team football and international youth fixtures.

Barcelona plan to develop the winger in their own second team first, with a gradual introduction to the senior squad. He can operate on both the left and right flank, and the club described him as a fast, skillful talent with a large future ahead.

In addition to his second‑team duties, Bisiwu will regularly train under head coach Hansi Flick, giving him exposure to first‑team routines while he continues his development.
