Fernandes: relationship with Carrick restored

Bruno Fernandes is relieved after the dramatic victory of Manchester United, the Red Devils, over AS Roma, emphasizing that the relationship with manager Michael Carrick is now fully restored and he fully backs the Englishman after a nerve‑wracking comeback in which United came back from a 0‑2 deficit.
At their own stadium, Manchester United seemed about to suffer another defeat, after initially trailing 0‑2 against Roma.
In the 83rd and 86th minute, Matheus Cunha made the crucial 2‑2 and 3‑2, after Bruno Fernandes had twice converted the follow‑up goal from the penalty spot.
‘The club needed that win and the players needed this win, together with the staff’, said a relieved Fernandes in front of the Amazon Prime camera.
He said the club had worked hard to get out of the situation and that many lies had been spread in the media about the club.

Restored relationship with Carrick
Fernandes emphasized that he is once again on the same page with Carrick, after the manager benched him a week and a half ago for the sixth time in his United career.
‘Between me and the manager we cleared the air; he put me on the bench because I was not performing at the level. If that was the case, it was justified’, he said honestly.
‘The manager makes the decisions. I have to accept them and move on with them’, added the 32‑year‑old Portuguese.

‘It changes nothing about my confidence in the manager, the staff and every player of this club. It changes nothing about my goal to win every fucking match that lies ahead of us’, Fernandes said clearly.
He then stated that there is no need to save anyone’s job, and confirmed that Carrick’s position did not need to be saved.
