Félix aims to return to Barcelona as his Al Nassr contract progresses
João Félix, the Portuguese striker, has a contract with Al Nassr until 2027 with an option clause for one more year, and according to a new report he is already working to discard it and return to Europe, with FC Barcelona as his top choice.
Meeting between agent and Saudi club
His agent, Jorge Mendes, recognized as one of the most influential representatives in the world and a close friend of Barça president Joan Laporta, would have arranged a meeting with Al Nassr to discuss the possible cancellation of the optional clause.
Félix spent the 2023‑24 season on loan at Barça and, after that experience, returned to Saudi Arabia, where he was named Saudi League Player of the Season 2025‑26 and helped Al Nassr secure its first league title in seven years.
The forward is also a key figure for the Portuguese national team, which enhances his international profile as he considers his future.
Barcelona remains his number one choice, although there are doubts about the club's interest due to the abundance of offensive options in the squad.
Besides Barcelona, Juventus has been mentioned as another possible destination if a return to the Camp Nou does not materialize.
