Fear at Bayern Munich: Vincent Kompany's illness

While Bayern Munich continues in the Bundesliga, a day of fear has struck the organization: coach Vincent Kompany fell ill during the reserve team's training, forcing the club to place him under medical custody and to delegate the conduct of training to his staff.

Official Bayern Statement

Bayern Munich released a note on its channels with the phrase “Vincent Kompany under medical custody”. The communication states that the coach went to medical care on Friday after the illness.

The illness occurred during the reserve team's training, where Kompany was observing the second team's session. The club confirmed that the coach will undergo thorough examinations in hospital.

Until further notice, his technical staff will manage training and match activities. Bayern Munich has reassured fans about sporting continuity.

Sporting director Max Eberl said: “Vincent Kompany’s health is our top priority. At FC Bayern we will do everything possible to ensure he recovers quickly. Vinnie will receive all the medical care and support he needs, as well as all the time he requires.” He added that his technical staff, whom we fully trust, will take on his responsibilities and that everyone at FC Bayern wishes Vinnie a speedy recovery.

The news were tagged as “Latest” on the official website, highlighting the urgency. The media described the day as a “day of fear” for Bayern Munich.

The club promised further updates as soon as new medical data become available. In the meantime, the reserve team will continue training under the supervision of the newly appointed head.
