Ex-Ajacied Vos resurfaces for AC Milan in Celtic training duel

Silvano Vos, the 21‑year‑old ex‑Ajax midfielder, finally logged minutes for AC Milan when coach Ruben Amorim called him on in a training duel against Celtic. The appearance came after a long injury lay‑off, prompting Vos to post the Instagram caption “'Ik ben terug'”.

The Dutch midfielder completed a summer 2024 move from Ajax to AC Milan for a reported fee of around three million euros. His transfer marked the end of his time at the Amsterdam club where he had risen through the youth ranks.

Vos progressed through the Ajax youth academy and made his first‑team debut in September 2023 during a Europa League clash with Olympique Marseille. Entering as a substitute, he received two yellow cards against the French side.

Following that debut he featured more regularly, but a knee injury later that season saw him disappear from the matchday squads. The injury kept him out of action for an extended period.

At AC Milan he also fell out of the spotlight after an initially promising spell with the club’s reserve side. Earlier this summer reports suggested the physically strong midfielder might leave San Siro, yet he has not confirmed any departure.

In the recent Italian top‑club training duel, Vos entered the field with thirty minutes remaining, replacing Ruben Loftus‑Cheek. At the moment of his introduction the scoreboard already read 2‑2.

His Instagram post, featuring the Dutch phrase “Ik ben terug”, underscored his return after the long injury. The penultimate appearance before this cameo was in March 2025 for the Milanese reserve team.

Club insiders speculate that Amorim may be offering Vos a lifeline at the Rossoneri, potentially reviving his career at the Serie A side.
