Charles De Ketelaere confirmed that he had spoken with Paris Saint‑Germain during the summer window, revealing that Atalanta had asked for €50 million to allow the transfer and that, in the end, the French club opted for Ferran Torres.

During an interview given to La Dernière Heure, the Belgian midfielder confirmed the truth of the rumors that Paris Saint‑Germain had shown interest in his signing. “Yes, I think it was around that amount,” De Ketelaere said, adding that “we need to find a team willing to spend that much.”

The player clarified that several Premier League clubs could have afforded the sum, but that the transfer did not materialise. “I talked with PSG, but in the end they chose Ferran Torres,” he concluded.

De Ketelaere, 25, highlighted his satisfaction with the starting role in Bergamo, recalling his previous spell at Milan. “I’m happy at Atalanta, I know how important it is to play regularly as a starter,” he said, emphasising his ambition to fight for titles.
