Conte shuts down rumours of a return, no talks underway
In recent days Antonio Conte has been at the centre of a whirl of rumors: the coach, after a recent interview with the English media, posted on Instagram a message in which he categorically denies any advanced negotiations for a return to the bench, either in England or in Italy.
Rumors linked to Manchester United
The rumors have linked Conte's name to Manchester United, where he would have been considered to replace Michael Carrick after the 4-1 defeat suffered at Como. The link arose precisely following that result, fueling speculation among those in the industry.
At the same time, the names of Juventus and Milan have been mentioned as possible destinations for a potential return of the Italian coach, sparking further discussion among the fans of both clubs.
Possible returns in Italy
In his post, Conte wrote: «No advanced negotiations». He added that his name has been linked to numerous clubs, but at the moment there is no negotiation in an advanced stage.
The coach then clarified that he will take the necessary time to assess how and when to return to coaching, describing the decision as a considered choice to be made only when the conditions are right.
Antonio Conte denies Juventus and Manchester United, defers
Conte also dismissed the rumors about alleged financial demands and a “strong character” that would have hindered a potential agreement, calling them unfounded reconstructions because there are no concrete elements on which to base such assessments.
He concluded by stating that, should a concrete opportunity arise, it will be time to engage with the interested club and jointly assess the terms of a potential agreement, respecting the mutual needs and the characteristics that define his work as a coach.
The message recalls Conte's career, who has managed Juventus, Napoli, Inter, Chelsea and the Italian national team, but so far has not confirmed any future project.
Until further communication, any speculation about his demands and his professional future remains a simple assumption, not an established fact.
