Como's €14m gamble on Brazil left‑back Kaiki Bruno da Silva

🇬🇧

Italian Serie A club Como have secured Brazil international left‑back Kaiki Bruno da Silva from Cruzeiro on a loan with an obligation to buy, a deal reported at €14 million, formalised on the club’s website this afternoon after being agreed a week earlier.

The deal is valued at €14 million, comprising a €2 million loan for the 2026‑27 season and a €12 million obligation to buy at its conclusion. Como confirmed the arrangement on its website after the clubs had reached an agreement a week earlier.

Como head coach Cesc Fabregas described Kaiki as a modern full‑back with speed, energy and the courage to push forward. Fabregas added that the Brazilian’s physical capacity to repeat runs, defend intensely and provide width fits the club’s playing style, and that his national‑team call‑up demonstrates his development.

The 23‑year‑old earned his first senior cap for Brazil in April 2026 under coach Carlo Ancelotti. He was also part of the Brazil squad that won the South American Under‑20 Championship in 2023.

A product of Cruzeiro’s youth academy, Kaiki was promoted to the senior squad in January 2022. During the current season he recorded four assists in 32 competitive appearances, featuring in both the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana.

Kaiki said he is delighted to join Como, praising the city and the club’s project. He pledged determination and passion for the fans, describing himself as dedicated, ambitious and ready to work hard to please them.

Fabregas believes Kaiki’s attributes will add defensive intensity and attacking width to Como’s lineup. For Kaiki, the move offers a platform to develop in European football and to fulfil the promise highlighted by his recent national‑team involvement.
