Chelsea and Manchester City in Bruges to watch Nicolo Tresoldi

This Sunday, during Club Brugge's match against Sint‑Truiden, Chelsea and Manchester City scouts will be in the stands to watch Nicolo Tresoldi, last season's Pro League top scorer, whose rating is rising in England and elsewhere.

Chelsea and Manchester City scouts in Brugge

Both English clubs have confirmed, according to TEAMtalk, that they will send their observers this Sunday to follow Tresoldi against Sint‑Truiden. The recruiters took seats in the Jan Breydel stands, alongside other European observers. Their presence highlights the growing interest of the English market in the young Belgian striker.

Besides the English, observers also tracked Brugge's performances in the Champions League, notably during the match against Lens where several scouts were already present. This double monitoring enhances Tresoldi's visibility on the European stage.

Tresoldi's dazzling performance

In the match against Sint‑Truiden, Tresoldi scored several goals before halftime, each after a burst from Carlos Forbs. In the second half, he completed a hat‑trick, bringing his total to 7 goals in the Jupiler Pro League this season. In the Champions League, he already has 4 goals, confirming his effectiveness against opposing defences.

Last season, he was crowned top scorer of the Pro League, which fueled the demand from English clubs. His profile as a complete finisher especially attracts teams looking to diversify their attack.

Club Brugge resists offers

Club Brugge has made it clear that it does not intend to sell Tresoldi this winter, despite the influx of foreign interest. The board believes the player's value has risen thanks to his Champions League performances and could demand at least €50 million for a departure next summer.

Chelsea, who recently lost to Tottenham, is looking to bolster its attack after João Pedro's absence. The club tried Morgan Rogers as a false number nine, without success, and is waiting for Emmanuel Eegha's return before finalising its options.

Manchester City, for its part, is considering its future signings, especially if Erling Haaland leaves the club. The Citizens are also studying the profile of a German U21 defender, but no deal has yet been discussed for Tresoldi.

If Tresoldi maintains this level, scouts' reports will likely be very positive, making a transfer next summer hard to refuse for Club Brugge, which could thus break its own sales record.
