Champions League Mourinho: forget Roma, one more game

Champions League Mourinho said in a press conference that he must “forget where they are and against whom I play”, describing the clash with Roma as “one more match”. The Real Madrid manager emphasized that the Romans want to win and that his own team shares the same objective.

Preparation and mindset

The coach added: “Maybe later or earlier my heart will beat, but during the match there is no room for love, in the game love is forgotten”. He assured that he is ready, solid and will give his all in the ninety minutes.

Reflections on the past

“I am always myself, the interests of the club, the fans and the team are above my own”, Mourinho continued, recalling that he has not won the Champions but has won a European cup and a second European final.

He praised the Romans, calling them “special” and stated that there is no Champions pressure for Roma, but that both teams – Roma and Inter – are the strongest in the league.

When asked if Roma is a title contender, he replied: “I shouldn’t be the one to say it, but without doubt Roma and Inter are the strongest in the league”. He also noted that the opposing team is important because it returns to the Champions.

Finally, Mourinho concluded that arriving at the airport before the match is not normal, but in the ninety minutes that is all that matters.
