El CD Castellón has taken a new step in expanding its sporting structure by launching CD Castellón C, a second filial side. The new team will start its campaign in the 2026/27 season.

The side will compete in the Tercera FFCV, the lowest tier of federated football in the Comunitat Valenciana. This places the club’s newest squad at the base of the regional league system.

Creating the C team strengthens the club’s cantera, adding an intermediate stage for its young footballers. It provides an additional platform for players graduating from the academy to continue their development.

The objective is to open more growth options for home‑grown players and to facilitate their progression within the entity. The club expects the new pathway to smooth the transition to higher levels.
