Casa Pia bets on Mohamed Salah El Boukammiri to climb the league

Casa Pia confirmed the signing of Mohamed Salah El Boukammiri, a 22‑year‑old Belgian forward, who arrives from Lommel. The Lisbon club announced the reinforcement for the geese team, bolstering the attack for the next season. The signing was made official this week, with no link to the Egyptian namesake, who currently plays for Trabzonspor.

Contract and term

The contract was announced with a duration of four seasons, but another source indicates it runs until June 2030. Both pieces of information confirm that the player will be tied to Casa Pia until the end of the next decade. The exact length has not yet been clarified by the club.

Stint at Union St. Gilloise and Club Brugge

Salah developed in the youth categories of Union St. Gilloise before joining the academy of Club Brugge. These formative pathways in Belgium contributed to his versatile style.

He holds dual Belgian and Moroccan nationality and has already represented Belgium at youth levels. The international experience reinforces his profile as a promising striker.

Last season, he made 35 appearances for Lommel in the Belgian First Division, scoring six goals and providing four assists. His performance stood out for its consistency and offensive contribution.

This season, he was used in two matches before the transfer to Casa Pia. The short playing period limited the opportunities to showcase his potential at the Belgian club.

The forward is recognised for his speed, dribbling and ability to beat opponents in one‑on‑one situations, being able to play on both wings. These attributes were highlighted as decisive for Casa Pia's selection.

Salah continues to monitor the market and the geese's season, staying alert to development opportunities.

Casa Pia strengthens its ambitious recruitment campaign, aiming for greater quality and depth in attack for the 2026/27 season. The club hopes the Belgian will help improve its position in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.
