Bournemouth edge closer to signing Sevilla’s Juanlu Sánchez

Actualizado el 02/08/2026 10:55 CEST, El Sevilla FC and Bournemouth are in advanced negotiations to bring 22‑year‑old left‑back Juanlu Sánchez to the English club on a four‑year contract running to 2030, ending his spell at the Andalusian side. The deal will also secure a future‑sale percentage for Sevilla.

Juanlu lo tiene muy avanzado con el BournemouthEFEJuan Pelegrín, confirming that the Montequinto‑born defender has finally found a path away from the club that has kept him on the transfer ramp for several windows without a departure.

Fabrizio Romano has said the positions between both clubs are very close and that Juanlu will close his transfer to the English side for four seasons, securing his stay until 2030.

El Sevilla will retain a percentage of any future sale and the transfer will generate a significant plusvalía, as Juanlu is a product of the club’s own academy.

Earlier this summer Napoli, led by director Giovanni Manna, travelled to Seville and made an offer, but Sevilla rejected it; other English clubs such as Wolverhampton and Nottingham Forest also entered talks, while PSG was reported to have shown interest.

Fiorentina and Lazio also approached Sevilla, yet the Bournemouth offer emerged as the most concrete, promising a substantial sum for the Andalusian side, although exact figures have not been disclosed.

The arrival of Juan Iglesias this summer gives Luis García Plaza more options on the right flank, alongside regular José Ángel Carmona, further shaping the squad that will lose Juanlu Sánchez to the Premier League.
