Bosz points to Dutch over‑criticism while Forbs thrives at Brugge

On the night of the Champions League blockbuster against Club Brugge, PSV coach Peter Bosz is in the spotlight as he discusses the rise of Carlos Forbs, who after a flop at Ajax now seems to be back on the right track at Brugge.
“We Dutch are unrealistically critical,” Bosz said, adding that Ajax is the “superior boot.” He emphasized that in the Netherlands players are often written off completely after a single bad game, citing Conceição as an example, who now plays for Juventus.
Regarding the opponent on Wednesday evening at 21:00, Bosz said he considers Brugge a strong team, without which you also cannot beat Inter. He recalled the Champions League match that Brugge lost to Aston Villa and suggested that that defeat was not inevitable.

Ranking and coefficients
On the UEFA coefficient list, Belgium is now ahead of the Netherlands, Bosz reported. He suggested that the Netherlands could later rise above Belgium again, but that fewer points in the Champions League and having two or three participating clubs put pressure on the ranking, a situation that also affects Portugal.
Bosz praised Hans Vanaken, the former PSV youth player and major leader of Club Brugge, as an intelligent, atypical midfielder he would like to see in his squad. Finally, he noted that Paul Wanner will only be available again after the international break, as he is currently training individually but not yet with the group.
