Bolton, Charlton and Blackburn battle for Wrexham star on loan
In an exclusive report, Bolton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Blackburn Rovers are all racing to sign Wrexham forward Davis Keillor-Dunn on loan for the remainder of the 2026/27 campaign, with the 11pm deadline tomorrow evening fast approaching.
The deadline looms, and each club hopes to finalise a deal before the clock strikes eleven tomorrow. All three sides are prepared to act quickly to secure the 28‑year‑old.
Loan move sparks interest
Keillor-Dunn arrived at Wrexham from Barnsley in February, yet has struggled for minutes, making just six league appearances in the latter half of last season and barely over 30 minutes so far this campaign. His versatility – able to lead the line or operate in attacking midfield – keeps him on the radar of Championship clubs seeking a proven League One performer. At Bolton, he would provide an immediate upgrade on James McAtee, while Charlton, after three straight wins, hope he can out‑produce Sonny Carey and Harvey Knibbs, and Blackburn see him as a useful addition alongside Todd Cantwell and the Andri Gudjohnsen‑led attack.
Loan could boost squads
A loan deal would allow Keillor-Dunn to gain regular first‑team football, something unlikely at Wrexham where he sits behind Nathan Broadhead and Kieffer Moore. His exit would see the Red Dragons lose a forward who has yet to start a match for the club. The interested clubs would each secure a versatile attacker without a transfer fee, bolstering their squads for the final push of the season.
Earlier this summer, Leicester City and Sheffield Wednesday were also linked with the forward, underscoring the sustained interest in his services. FLW notes that the three interested clubs hail from the red‑rose county that boasts the most trophies in English football history.
