Bixente Lizarazu exults over the Blues' lightning‑fast comeback

On Sunday evening, the Blues, trailing 0‑1 to the Red Devils, turned the situation around by scoring four goals after the 77th minute to win 4‑1. Bixente Lizarazu, a consultant for TF1, celebrated each strike, shouting with joy as soon as Désiré Doué’s equaliser came.

A first half dominated by Belgium

Before the 77th minute, Belgium led the match and France struggled to create clear chances. The Blues were for a long time imprecise in the attacking area, which left the Red Devils comfortably in front.

The turning point came at the 77th minute, when Désiré Doué scored the equaliser. Michael Olise then found the net, quickly followed by Rayan Cherki and Lucas Da Cunha, before Doué scored again, taking the score to 4‑1.

In the studio, Bixente Lizarazu, a consultant for TF1, did not hide his enthusiasm. Beside Grégoire Margotton, he celebrated each goal, even letting out a liberating shout as soon as the second goal came.

“We lived a match the way we love, crazy, with four goals, and this magnificent way of turning the tables,” said Bixente Lizarazu.

After the final whistle, he went down to the side of the pitch to join the post‑match show hosted by Thomas Mekhiche. Lizarazu highlighted “that coaching that changed everything, with the introductions of Michael Olise, Rayan Cherki and Lucas Da Cunha, and a little later of Désiré Doué,” while mentioning his pleasure in sharing the moment with Zinédine Zidane.

The 4‑1 victory allowed the Blues to turn the tables and walk away with decisive momentum, while the Red Devils saw their lead evaporate in less than half an hour.
