Bernard and Fabrizio warn the Oranje: Klopp's fire must be seen

While the Dutch national team prepares for the Nations League debut against Germany, former teammates Bernard Schuiteman and Fabrizio Hayer warn about Jürgen Klopp’s unstoppable drive. Klopp’s past and reputation

Schuiteman, former player at Mainz, Bayer Leverkusen and Feyenoord and now technical director of RKC Waalwijk, played alongside Klopp in a season in which the German suddenly became a coach. Hayer, also a former footballer from Mainz, adds that Euro 2028 in, among other places, England is the dream of ‘Kloppo’, because he is seen there as a king since his successful spell at Liverpool.

Both believe that Klopp has changed German football, has let a fresh wind blow through the conservative system, and shows an unprecedented ambition.

According to Hayer, the word ‘inspiration’ fits Klopp best, while he emphasizes his ambition. The two men call on the Dutch staff to pay close attention to the intensity that Klopp radiates.

The first meeting between the two nations takes place on Thursday evening at 20:45 in the Johan Cruijff Arena, where the Dutch national team gets the chance to experience Klopp’s fire up close.
