Bart Verhaeghe blocks €35m Roma bid for Tresoldi at Club Brugge

Club Brugge chairman Bart Verhaeghe has placed an absolute veto on any transfer of 21‑year‑old striker Nicolò Tresoldi, despite a €35 million offer from AS Roma and reported interest from Chelsea and Manchester United, confirming the player will remain at Jan Breydel Stadium under a contract that runs until June 2029.

Tresoldi’s contract runs until June 2029, meaning he is not obligated to leave this summer.

He finished the previous campaign as a leading scorer with 23 goals and contributed nine assists.

According to , Bart Verhaeghe said his top scorer must not leave for any amount of money, not even a record fee with an extra incentive. He reiterated that even a bid exceeding the record would be declined.

Thus, despite interest from major clubs, Club Brugge intends to keep Tresoldi for the foreseeable future.
