Arteta calls Champions League loss 'very tough to accept'

🇬🇧

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta described the Champions League defeat to Paris St Germain as "very tough to accept." He insisted his team "could easily" have been awarded a decisive penalty in extra time.

Arteta spoke after Arsenal's 2-1 Champions League quarter-final loss to Paris St Germain. The match ended 2-1 following extra time.

The Arsenal manager highlighted a potential penalty claim in the 105th minute. He argued the foul on Declan Rice in the box should have been penalised.

Paris St Germain advanced to the Champions League semi-finals. They will face Borussia Dortmund in the next round.

Arteta also praised his players despite the loss. He emphasised their effort and commitment throughout the tournament.
