Arsenal eye Brighton striker Kostoulas as long‑term solution
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal need to reinforce a forward line that now depends on Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz, and the north London club have identified a long‑term solution in Brighton & Hove Albion’s rising Greek striker. A Football Insider report says 19‑year‑old Charalampos Kostoulas could fill the gap and add a new dimension to the attack.
Brighton's young Greek talent
The 19‑year‑old Greek international has already registered five goals and three assists in ten appearances across all competitions this season. His Premier League displays have drawn attention for their finishing ability, intelligent movement and composure in the final third. Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has overseen his development since the striker arrived from Olympiacos.
Kostoulas joined Brighton from Olympiacos in the summer of 2025 for a fee of roughly £30 million. He spent his first campaign in England largely on the bench, patiently awaiting opportunities. This season he is beginning to demonstrate why the Seagulls invested heavily in his potential.
Arteta’s current attacking options include Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz, but both are seen as short‑term solutions. Adding a promising young striker would give the Gunners a forward to build around for the coming years. The north London side therefore view Kostoulas as a valuable long‑term addition.
Arsenal’s pursuit and potential hurdles
According to the Football Insider report, the Gunners are actively tracking Kostoulas during Brighton matches. Former Premier League scout Bryan King has said Arsenal are already assessing the forward, suggesting interest could deepen if his performances continue to improve.
Brighton have tied the teenager to a contract until 2030 and are not under immediate pressure to sell. The Seagulls are valuing him at around €60 million to €70 million, a figure that could prove a significant obstacle for any potential deal.
Several other clubs are also monitoring his progress, meaning Kostoulas could become a major transfer target in upcoming windows. Arsenal may need to act decisively if they wish to secure his signature before competition intensifies.
