Arsenal chase Bayern winger Olise after eight goal contributions in six games

Arsenal have been linked with Bayern Munich’s 24‑year‑old winger Michael Olise after he recorded eight goal contributions in his first six Bundesliga matches this term. The Gunners are monitoring his situation closely, according to the Spanish outlet Fichajes, as they look for a statement signing to revitalise their attack.

Missed targets in the summer window

The Gunners missed out on Vinicius Junior, Morgan Rogers and Julian Alvarez during the recent summer transfer window. Those failures suggest Arsenal will continue to prioritise strengthening the forward line in the near future.

Olise emerges as a serious candidate

Despite the ambition required to secure one of the planet’s most in‑form attackers, Arsenal are reportedly seriously considering Olise, a France international who currently plies his trade at Bayern Munich in Munich. The report notes that Real Madrid, Paris Saint‑Germain and Liverpool are also monitoring the winger, but Arsenal’s name is now appearing among the interested clubs.

Olise’s recent statistics underline his appeal: he scored 22 goals across all competitions last season, double the 11 goals recorded by Bukayo Saka for Arsenal this campaign. Moreover, his eight goal contributions in six games for Bayern contrast with Saka’s three contributions for the Gunners.

Arsenal’s lack of spark in attack has been a recurring theme under Mikel Arteta. With Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard having departed this summer, the club has already targeted left‑handed profiles, yet the right‑hand side, where Saka operates, remains a concern.

Olise’s prior experience in the Premier League with Crystal Palace as a youngster is cited as evidence that adapting to English football should pose no problem, even though the Bundesliga is viewed as a slightly less demanding league.

If Saka’s form does not improve soon, the interest in Olise could intensify, making the potential move a focal point of Arsenal’s transfer strategy.
