In the statement the group emphasized that the integrity of the Ballon d'Or is an absolute priority and that the procedure for the complaint is underway.
It added that it takes the accusations of result leaks and potentially fraudulent betting very seriously.
Upside's Investigation
The analysis by the online financial publishing Upside states that, before the ceremony held on Tuesday in London, suspicious bets were placed on Polymarket, an unauthorized platform in France.
According to Upside, about $265,000 would have been bet through twelve accounts, probably belonging to the same person, a few days before the event, indicating the top five ranking: Kane, Kylian Mbappé, Lamine Yamal, Rodri and Lionel Messi.
The Amaury group confirmed that investigations are underway to verify the facts and determine any responsibilities.
