Allegri says on video McTominay ready from the first minute

Massimiliano Allegri, during the press conference held in Spain for the Champions League match against Villarreal, announced on VIDEO that Scott McTominay is ready to go onto the pitch from the first minute, adding “I really think so” and confirmed that the final decision will be taken tomorrow morning.

Allegri clarified that McTominay is already fit and can be fielded from minute one, but the final confirmation will come tomorrow morning. The coach emphasized that the choice will depend on the form of the players available.

Other players in recovery

The coach listed the teammates who have just returned to training: Neres, Badiashile and Giovane, all out for seven or two months. On Wednesday Anguissa, Olivera and Alisson Santos rejoin the group, expanding the options available.

Allegri recalled that many players have returned after several months with only a few matches behind them, making the recovery of everyone's physical condition essential. “It is important to recover everyone, because it would allow me to guess the line‑up each match,” he said.

The manager highlighted the passion of the city of Naples, describing it as a “square” where enthusiasm must be kept together with tactical balance. “Our strength must be balance, inside such a passionate city,” he added.

With the Champions League underway, Allegri reiterated that the priority is to face the next European commitment and then continue the league campaign. “Now we have the Champions and then we must resume the league campaign,” he concluded.
