Ajax's European squad list reveals missing Leonardo and Carrizo
In the early morning, Ajax filed its A‑list with UEFA for the Conference League two‑leg tie against FK Vojvodina, confirming that summer signing Marcos Leonardo is not on the roster while Mika Godts appears only on the B‑list and Maher Carrizo is absent.
The club’s submission shows that Marcos Leonardo, the Brazilian forward signed in the summer, has yet to be added to the list because he is still waiting for his work permit, according to multiple sources.
Maher Carrizo, the Argentine midfielder, is also missing from both the A‑list and the B‑list, making his participation in the competition doubtful under UEFA regulations.
Mika Godts, a young attacker, is listed on the B‑list, meaning he remains eligible for a later promotion to the senior squad.
Ajax’s A‑list currently contains 24 players, allowing the Amsterdammers to add one more player without removing anyone; two additional names may still be registered before the Wednesday deadline of 23:59.
Summer arrivals Caio Henrique and Daley Blind have been placed directly on the A‑list, as have the Jong Ajax signings Fouad Zahouani and Jano Monserrate.
Players born after 1 January 2005 such as Dies Janse, Mohamed Abdalla, Aaron Bouwman, Pharell Nash and Abdellah Ouazane are omitted from the A‑list and sit on the B‑list, leaving them available for future inclusion.
UEFA rules state that any player born after 1 January 2005 must have been continuously eligible to play for the club for two years, or three consecutive years with at most a single one‑year loan, to qualify for the B‑list; a special exception applies to 16‑year‑olds who must simply be registered for two years.
The current squad list includes goalkeepers Joeri Heerkens, Maarten Paes and Charlie Setford; defenders Lucas Rosa, Anton Gaaei, Ko Itakura, Owen Wijndal, Caio Henrique, Ahmetcan Kaplan, Youri Baas, Daley Blind, Jorthy Mokio, Josip Sutalo, Fouad Zahouani, Tristan Gooijer and Marvyn Muzungu; midfielders Youri Regeer, Oscar Gloukh, Davy Klaassen, Kian Fitz‑Jim and Jano Monserrate; and attackers Kasper Dolberg, Oliver Edvardsen and Steven Berghuis.
